Wire decking is decking commonly used in pallet rack and other types of storage rack. Wire decking is typically made of galvanized steel.[1]

Applications

Wire decking is an accessory product used on pallet rack. It is made of welded wire mesh with integrated support channels welded to the bottom that span the space between the rack beams and carries the load. Wire decking can be built to accommodate any depth of rack or beam length and it can be designed and built for a range of load bearing capacities.

Wire decking enables a rack system to store a wider variety of items as opposed to a single fairly fixed pallet dimension (for example multiple pallet sizes, cartons, drums, totes, boxes, gaylords etc). It also protects against falling inventory that may result from unsecured pallet bundles and/or damaged or misplaced pallets. Wire decking enables an overhead sprinkler system to operate more efficiently while letting light and debris pass through.[2]
