A narrow belt conveyor is a conveyor with a narrow bed that is typically used for moving boxes, cases, and cartons up inclines. The narrow width of the conveyor allows it to be used in stairways and takes up minimal space during storage.[1]

Narrow Belt Conveyor (NBC) is a belt driven live roller conveyor that can be configured into zero-pressure contact accumulation, non-contact accumulation conveyor, and transportation conveyor using all the same frame and drive components. This versatility results in equipment, installation, and overall cost-of-ownership savings. Drive costs are also cut by NBC's ability to power up to four modules off either end of the conveyor.

While offering excellent cost savings, NBC also incorporates high-value features as standard. The logic modules are easily set in the field for basic or progressive (train) release. The direct-drive belt is powered with a 97% efficient gear motor that reduces energy consumption. NBC utilizes a frame with the rollers low and built-in guardrail configuration. A rollers-high version is also available.[2]
