Lift truck forks are horizontal projections suspended from the carriage of a fork lift truck to support loads.[1] Forks come in two styles: hook type and pin type. Fork sizes have been standardized within the industrial truck industry and are load rated according to fork thickness and width. The fork rating is stamped on the shank of the fork.[2]
