An engine is the piece of machinery that powers a vehicle or machine by converting energy into mechanical force.[1] Forklift engines can be either internal combustion or electric. Forklift engines must be durable and tough in order to endure extended periods of constant operation. Engines also require regular maintenance and service.[2]
