Cantilever rack is rack that utilizes "arms" cantilevered from columns, and is used where there is a need for a full clear shelf that can be loaded from the front without obstruction from rack support uprights.[1] The uprights are secured to the rack base by tension fasteners which incur only minimal shearing stresses.[2]

Cantilever racks are frequently used to store long, narrow items.[3]

Cantilever racks are the perfect storage solution for hard to store products such as furniture, lumber, steel pipe, tub, bar, and PVC pipe. Cantilever racks are often installed with recessed decking on beds to provide a flush surface that eliminate snags and other damage incurred during handling. Load capacities range from 700-1,000 lbs per arm, with rack capacities of up 33,000 lbs, and up to 6,500 pounds per pair of arms.[4]
