Indianapolis, IN -- The Phoenix Group, headquartered in Greenwood, IN, has tripled the size of its Logistics Division and signed a multi-year contract with HEB-Mexico, one of the largest Mexican grocery chains, to provide logistics support for upcoming new stores and remodel projects. Phoenix's Mexico facility will be located in Monterrey, Mexico, commencing operations this month. Phoenix is also in negotiations with several large retailers in Mexico and the US, as operations continue to expand south of the border and domestically.

As a result of the Mexican contract and significant gains in business throughout Indiana and Texas, Phoenix's logistics division has hired 15 new employees in the last month and plans to add several hundred by the end of 2010.

"Only a small percentage of our new employees are actually employed within Mexico," says Gary Sherman, vice president of The Phoenix Group. "We have hired the majority in Indiana and Texas to support our logistics operation as a whole. Our expansion into Mexico represents a huge step for this division, because it allows us to provide a complete North American supply chain solution for all of our US customers, many of which also have divisions in Mexico but conduct the majority of their manufacturing operations domestically."
