ATK Aerospace Structures’ “Stealth Racer” pallet car was the first to take its driver, Carolina Walsh, to the finish line and beyond (into the curb) Thursday during the final heat of the PARC Pallet Grand Prix.

The race was the first of its kind during Pioneer Adult Rehabilitation Center’s annual awards day activities.

ATK’s Jesse Brown, who designed the “Stealth Racer,” said he modeled the car after a fighter jet.

“It was more about having fun, but it is nice to be the winner,” Brown said.

PARC furnished nine partner companies with wood pallets and wood spools to use in the design. Each company put their graphics and engineering employees to work designing, building and painting miniature car frames, wheels, bodies and driver seats.
