Material Handling Headlines

The Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) will hold its first training, testing and certification system for front-line material handling workers in all supply chain facilities: production sites, warehouses, distribution centers and transporters. MSSC is issuing two industry-recognized, nationally portable credentials: the foundational-level Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) certificate and the mid-level Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) Certification. CLA is a prerequisite for CLA. There is no requirement that individuals take courses prior to taking the CLA/CLT assessments. However, those companies or affiliated colleges and high schools wishing to offer CLA/CLT courses need first to have teachers go through 2-day Instructor Certification Training or purchase the CLA/CLT Instructors Package.
