Israel-based Pelmar Engineering purchased all of the equipment at Trelleborg Wheel Systems' old industrial tire plant in Hartville, OH, earlier this week. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Trelleborg produced its final tire in Hartville, an Akron suburb, last September. The factory's production has been transferred to a plant in Sri Lanka.

Included in the purchase were mixers, extruders, and other machines, according to Jacob Peled, executive chairman of Pelmar Engineering.
