Billerica, MA - Nuvera Fuel Cells has received an award from the Department of Energy (DOE) to accelerate market penetration of fuel cells in the material handling industry. The award includes the deployment of a fleet of fuel cell forklifts and the installation of Nuvera’s PowerTap Hydrogen Generator and Hydrogen Station.

DOE Secretary Steven Chu recently announced the award as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) stating, “the investments we’re making today will help us build a robust fuel cell manufacturing industry in the United States. Developing and deploying the next generation of fuel cells will not only create jobs—it will help our businesses become more energy efficient and productive. We are laying the foundation for a green energy economy.”
