Alta Acquires United Lift

Alta Equipment Co. has acquired a majority of assets of United Lift from previous owners the Gorman family and is establishing another Chicago-area location for the Hyster brand, possibly in Itasca, IL. Jack Gorman, his wife Nancy and their 3 children sold the United Lift assets except for buildings and real estate in Bellwood and Lansing, IL.
The Gorman family started United Lift Truck in 1963, acquiring the Hyster dealership in May 1990.
